MOVIE star Paul Walker’s daughter has been awarded a $10m (£7m) settlement following her father’s horror fatal car accident, reports claim.
A court reportedly found in favour of Meadow Walker, 17, when Roger Rodas, the man driving the car in the fatal accident, was found ‘partly to blame for fatal accident.’
According to TMZ, the ruling means Meadow was awarded around $7m while Attorney Jeff Milam received $3m.
The 2005 Carrera GT was being driven by Rodas, the owner of an auto racing shop, when it spun out of control on a city street in Valencia, near Los Angeles, and burst into flames after hitting a power pole and several trees.
Fast and Furious star Walker, who was 40, and Rodas, 38, both died at the scene of the crash in November 2013.
It’s claimed the settlement was made in 2014, but it has only been revealed now because it was first filed under the name ‘Meadow W’.
Reports is the US say it is not known if the money will come from Rodas’ estate, or his insurance company.
However, it was also reportedly noted in the case that Rodas was “not directing the car through any particularly unsafe maneuvers when it went out of control”.
Meadow is now thought to be pushing another case against car manufacturer Porsche for ‘design defects’, the website claims.
It comes after Mr Rodas’s widow Kristine filed a similar wrongful death lawsuit against the manufacturer, claiming her husband died because the Porsche he was driving lacked several key safety features.
