TRUMP TOWER, N.Y. — Amid questionable reports that President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team is scrambling to find inaugural performers, comes news of an international entertainment guest star bombshell.
Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin will reportedly sing Fats Domino’s 1956 hit “Blueberry Hill” at Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremony via live video hookup. A Russian liaison working closely with transition leaders said Putin will reprise his 2012 charity event performance of the song.
“President Putin wishes he could attend the festivities in person,” said the liaison, identified as Althea Thoonyev. “Logistics, prior commitments, matters of state, and security concerns necessitate performance via live video.”
“Glasnost was the beginning of a new openness throughout Russia,” said Thoonyev. “President Putin wishes to further bridge the perceived divide between our two nations using music — the universal language.”
Trump opponents say Putin’s appearance is a PR stunt, engineered to deflect attention from unfounded charges that Putin interfered with America’s presidential election.
Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, and country superstar Garth Brooks are reportedly in negotiations to perform. 16-year-old America’s Got Talent singer Jackie Evancho will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
Anita Bryant, 1958’s Miss Oklahoma, Save Our Children founder, and the Florida Citrus Commission’s former brand ambassador, will reportedly sing “Tomorrow Belongs To Me,” the featured anthem from the musical Cabaret.
Despite the blockbuster lineup, mainstream media outlets still say Trump is having trouble securing top headliners.
The latest performer to bow out is “Popera” singer Andrea Bocelli. The Italian classical tenor and recording artist caved in to social media pressure, after many of his fans threatened to boycott future concerts.
“With or without Bocelli,” said Thoonyev, “this glorious event will go down in history as the best inauguration we’ve ever had. We booked the President of Russia! We’ve got the best performers, the most incredibly, unbelievably talented performers. Believe me,” she said.
The above story was reported by several sites that the Russian president will take it upon himself to provide the musical entertainment at President-Elect Trump’s inauguration, after earlier reports that the Trump transition team was finding it difficult to find A-list celebrities to perform at the event.
Putin did actually sing on a stage before, there is a well-know video clip of him singing “Blueberry Hill” at a charity event a few years ago.
The Story Is HOAX!
